| Ningxia Medical University, established in 1958, is the only higher learning medical institution in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The university is situated in an area of nearly 1200 mu (around 790,000 square meters) with a construction area of 293,200 square meters. It comprises 13 teaching institutions, 11 teaching & scientific research assistant institutions, 13 affiliated hospitals, 16 teaching hospitals, and over 120 training hospitals and practical teaching bases across the country. Over its 58-year history, the university has trained more than 60,000 medical professionals at various levels. The university has 862 full-time teachers, including 522 supervisors for master’s degree students and 658 associate professors and above. Approximately 30.63% of the faculty members hold doctoral degrees.
